Shoulder pain, as well as pain radiating down the arm, is one of the most common problems treated by chiropractors today. Chronic pain caused by injury or wear and tear in the shoulder can be distressing and worrying for those affected by it.

If you’re one of the many people who regularly suffer from symptoms such as frozen shoulder, pain radiating down the arms, neck ache, problems sleeping due to pain, crunching, popping, or tingling down the arm, then you will be all too aware of how it can severely affect your day to day life.

Chiropractic for Shoulder Pain

Thankfully, because shoulder and arm pain is so common, there are many ways to treat it, and one of the most successful has been shown to be chiropractic care.

Here at Balance Chiropractic we are focused on treating our patients as the individuals they are, meaning that one size certainly doesn’t fit all.

A targeted treatment plan is developed to suit the patient after a thorough assessment of the problem, identifying the underlying cause for the symptoms, and in-depth discussion regarding management.

Epping Chiropractor, Dr Gus Gunther, has instilled an ethos of gentle but focused care towards chiropractic treatment, meaning you can be assured that the root problem will be identified and tackled, just as well as the symptoms themselves, aiming to help prevent future recurrence.

Causes of shoulder and arm pain

Many different factors can cause shoulder and arm pain, and much of it is down to the way we live our lives nowadays. The shoulder is a complex joint with a huge amount of possible movement. Keeping it in shape requires a good degree of fitness and muscle tone that many people are not able to maintain.

On top of that, poor sleeping position, poor posture, even carrying bags in the incorrect way, are all issues which can lead to wear and tear of the joints, as well as increasing risk of injury over time.

Of course, it can also be down to a sporting injury, which happens out of the blue, and in that case it’s important to identify the particular injury and treat accordingly.
